Ramona Woman's Club
The Ramona Woman’s Club awards two types of scholarships.
The Mary White Scholarship is for those attending a four year college to attain BA/BS degree.
The second type is the Ellie Whitcomb Scholarship for those seeking vocational training.
Over the past 22 years we awarded over $68,750 to 74 Ramona Students.
Each year applicants for these scholarships undergo evaluation considering academic accomplishments, volunteer work, personal triumphs, employment, family commitments as well prospective goals and aspirations in higher education.

Welcome to the Scholarship Application

Applicants must have attended a Ramona high school for at least two full years.

Maintain a 3.0 or better GPA.

Apply for only one of the two types of scholarships.

Be in need of financial assistance.

Have a future goal.

RWC SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS 2025-26
With Club and community members support our fundraising events have allowed us to award Six $1,000 scholarships for 2026.
Taylor Patterson
Tyler's career goal is to become a kindergarten teacher, inspired by the teacher who made a lasting impression on her life.
She wants to make a difference in children's lives by supporting them as they grow into responsible, kind, confident adults.
Natali Lopez
Natali's goal is to travel the world and exploring the beautiful cultures.
Her main career focus is pursue her interest in the heart by becoming a Travel Cardiac Sonographer.
Ingrid Ferguson
Ingrid's GPA is 4.0 and her goal is to pursue nursing and psychology She wants work closely with children and families as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on neuroscience or psychology.
Since 2022 she has volunteered at North Coast Church caring for young children. She also volunteers at Palomar Hospital as an Inpatient Ambassador.
Ingrid belongs to the National Honors Society and is a peer tutor in a leadership position.
She served in the ASB and was president in her senior year.
Lexie Hammontree
Lexie will be attending Grossmont College and San Diego State University to earn a degree in forensics, chemistry, or biology.
She is looking forward to pursuing a career as a Criminalist of Forensic DNA Analyst.
Cody Schepe
Cody is driven not only by academic success, but by a deep commitment to serving others.
He plans to earn a bachelor's degree, obtain his EMT certification and continue to earn and paramedic license, and ultimately attend the fire academy
Brando Duran
Brando is following in the family business. He will be the 4th generation in his family by becoming a Barber.

With Club and community members support our fundraising events have allowed us to award five $1,000 scholarships for 2025.
Ryann Wilson - $1,000
Will be attending a college in Alabama to earn of Doctor of Physical Therapy. She attended Baylor University Accelerate Scholar program2021-2025.
Rayann volunteered in the Thrive after school program as well as served as student representative on district and community committees.
Connor Nelson - $1,000
Will be pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree focusing on power generation to enter the field of hydropower engineering. As part of a team-based Engineering Technology/Designed Connor designed a vest to assist in self-regulation for people with autism.
Caylel Crews - $1,000
Plans to become an English teacher to instill her appreciation and love for literature through reading and writing.
Having experienced instability and hardship firsthand. She aims to transition into academic administration to foster a safe place for students to thrive.
In her senior year Caylel founded and was president of the RHS News.
Kylee Sargent - $1,000
will be attending Bellus Academy of Cosmetology as the RWC Ellie Witcomb Vocational Recipient. She plans to have her own business with mobile hair and nail salon.
Since 2014 Kaylee has volunteered in Hearts and Hooves assisting animals in addition to people with special needs and disabilities.
Burton Christian - $1,000
Will attend California Poly San Luis Obispo to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering and plans to establish his own business revitalizing communities through innovative design and sustainable practices.
While in high school Christian created Project Condor which helped golfers improve their swing mechanics.
